The cost of Silver Maple’s fine art lamination and wood mounting is much lower than conventional glass-and-moulding custom framing. Our product has a clean, contemporary appeal that de-emphasizes the decorative approach of traditional framing, allowing the image to speak for itself. The finished work resembles the look of original art in a gallery or museum setting.

Our “standard” laminations are dry-mounted onto a 3/8”-inch thick high-density wood board. This Ph-neutral pressed wood provides a rigid, durable, moisture-resistant backing. Unlike foam core which has no moisture resistance, our pressed wood is a sturdy construction material that is not affected by household humidity.

Larger-sized images are “flushmounted” by Silver Maple onto a lighter masonite backing. 1-inch pressed wood adhered to the back and sides of the masonite provides additional structural support to these museum-style laminations. “Flushmounts” are ideal for fine art posters and a variety of large format projects.

The edges of our laminations are all beveled, sanded and painted. Ten colors are available for the edges, including our classics—gold, silver and black. A simple groove or keyhole slot on the back of each finished piece adds a practical ready-to-hang feature to our product.
